Beach Time with Friends!

One of our favorite things about summer is enjoying the sun and spending time at the beach with friends. We didn't get to travel to the southern beach this summer, but we did try to enjoy our very own Winona Beach and the Indiana Dunes!  Hannah is still learning how to swim with floaties, but is beginning to understand what she needs to do to keep herself above the water. She loves building things with the sand- especially when mom helps to dig all the trenches!

Hanging with her best buds!

She just can't get enough of the splashing!

We made sure to take a few trips to the Indiana Lakeshore... this summer, we decided to visit Washington Park, just a few blocks away from the outlet mall.  Such a nice beach and easy access!

Hannah was always searching for people to pull her on her board, since the waves are nearly as active here in the north! Here she was trying to convince a little girl that was smaller than her to pull her around. :)

Digging for the next treasure!

Kosciusko Fair 2014

First of all, so sorry everyone for not keeping this blog updated! Life has gone by way too fast and since joining Facebook, I have failed the rest of you! I will try to do better!

I love these first two pictures that show Hannah in action- working hard to make bubbles while at Aunt Pam's for July 4th.

Hanging at the fair is always a fun time with Hannah! Now that she is getting older and a little taller, she is able to ride some of the rides, which makes us a little nervous, but she loves them! She was able to choose 2 rides this year, the carousel and the Chinese Dragon Roller Coaster!

Baba got the joy of riding along this time!

This was before the roller coaster started! Way too hard to
take it as we were shaking up and down!

The animals are also one of Hannah's favorite parts about the fair, even though they are a little smelly at times!  She is getting more dramatic in her older years. :)

Those darn cows...they just can't stop smelling.

The best part of the fair... the ice cream!

Winter shots of Our Beautiful Chinese Girl!!!

The little bear was a gift from G and G on her first Christmas and
she just now has become quite attached to it!

Let the birthday gifts begin....

First of all, sorry that I have not been keeping this blog updated. I really did attempt to update it a few times during all those snow days but then got sidetracked...I will blame that on a certain 4 year old.

So, we will start with the birthday.  We can't believe that little girl we held for the first time back in October 2010 is turning 4 years old.  It seems like just yesterday that she took her first steps and now she is running to every place and occasionally falling.  This year for her birthday she wanted a castle for her birthday cake.  So I had this great idea, but at 11:30 p.m. the night before the party when the cakes were splitting in half, I almost made a trip to the store!!! But after a few more hours, lots of frosting and I mean lots of frosting, and all the candy, my little girl thought it was perfect! In the end, she was the only one that I needed to make happy and I succeeded.

A card and stickers in the mail from Aunt Robin and Uncle Dave!

Can't have a birthday without a singing Dora card!

Paint your own teapot set from Mama and Baba!

Fun activity card from Miss Rita!

Cash from Bryon and Val and Grandma Lundgren!

The actual day of the party.....

Hannah was very excited that all her family and friends could make it, because unfortunately on the day of the party the first big snow of the winter had to hit that morning. She got quite spoiled and enjoyed every single present she received!

Did I say two and half containers of frosting...

Beauty set from Aunt Sherri, Uncle Dana, Ry-Ry, and Tate

lots of playdoh

Books from Aunt Robin and Uncle Dave

Now she can make her diagnois...thanks G and G

I wonder who this is from?  Thanks Cousin Bekah!

From Mama and Baba....a big girl bike! Her response.... a long pause of silence...then, "I like it!" We were a little nervous when we didn't get an immediate response, but she really did like it...but fast forward to the present in April and now she is a little hesitant to ride it because she has fallen a few times.

Putting her doctor kit to work....

Very excited that these girls were able to join us this year!
All beautiful...inside and out!
